Thank you to Waukegan Police Animal Control for messaging Microchip Hunters for help getting Oreo home after trying to get information from the chip. It showed 8 different companies and nothing to show who the chip was sold to.
After some further searching, Microchip Hunters was able to find the pet store in Wisconsin that Oreo came from. The store spent some time looking for records with owner information and was able to find it! The family lived in Park City, and I was able to connect with them. They said the dog got out when their sone opened the door for trick or treaters, and they looked all day for him. Oreo was picked up within 20 minutes; we are so thankful for facilities that go the extra mile to find the families of these animals, and for thinking of Microchip Hunters! This senior dog was found wandering at an apartment complex in South Carolina. His microchip led to an outdated phone number, so the finder submitted a Jotform to Microchip Hunters for help finding Snoopy’s family. The microchip registration was almost 11 years old!
Microchip Hunters began researching and located a family member connected to the chip’s information. After sending a photo, the family member replied, “I know the owner!” — the original owner had rehomed Snoopy to a relative. Soon after, I received a text from the family looking for him. I shared the finder’s information, and they were able to reunite with Snoopy that same evening — he had traveled quite a distance from home! His microchip has now been updated, too. Welcome home, Snoopy! And a big thank you to Gregory for keeping him safe while finding his family. Angela sent Microchip Hunters a message through Facebook requesting help for a microchip for a cat found in Beach Park. Thank you! The cat was 'hanging out on the finder's porch (Jenn) day and night,' and had a microchip with a phone number attached to the owner, but it wasn't going through. Microchip Hunters was able to connect with a brother who provided his sister's current number! Hobbs had been missing for a year, and she was so happy to get this call! She has since moved to Elgin. "Oh. My. Gosh. YES!!!!! That's my HOBBS!! He's been gone for about a year!! I can't believe you have him!!" I was able to provide Hobb's family with Jenn's number and they connected! Jenn drove Hobbs all the way from Beach Park to Elgin to get him back to his family that had moved and had no car! She also provided food, bowls and a litter box! Thank you so much, Jenn, you are truly special, and Hobbs' family is so grateful! Microchip Hunters was able to help get the chip updated to the family's new address and phone number. "Thank you more than I can express I am indebted to you seriously" Lost Dogs Illinois Microchip Hunters www.microchiphelp.com Thank you Garrido Stray Rescue Foundation for believing in keeping this family together, and for providing them the help they need to keep them safe and healthy!
Garrido Stray reached out to Microchip Hunters when the family's number and address weren't current for 3 dogs that were let out of a car and found. Microchip Hunters reached a family member by email, who gave Erik the information that his dogs were found. When he called, he told me he was very worried and so happy that they all stayed together. "I'll keep my hopes up and pray that I'll get to see them again."
