Thank you to fan AJ for sharing a post from Union County Animal Control, Cobden IL to Lost Dogs Illinois. The post was of a senior Chihuahua (17) with a microchip and Cook County Rabies tag. Union County stated they were having no luck contacting either of the numbers associated with the chip.
Microchip Hunters reached out to Union County AC to see about helping and was given the chip number. It looked like the owner on file had passed away, so some research was done, and the daughter was found. The daughter told me that her cousin Melody took Jack in when her parents had passed away. She called Melody who called me right away! Melody told me she and her two dogs were in the yard when suddenly Jack was gone. She was extremely happy to get this call, and I received a text 30 minutes later that he was home! Quickest reunite ever with an animal control facility! Thank you, Union County AC! We will be transferring Jack's microchip information over to Melody! Jack says, " thank you Ms. Jeanette"... he was left to me by my uncle who passed away in December, I know he is ancient, but he is like a family member, and we love him!
