Home at Last! The found Pekingese from #Chicago, IL is home safe and sound! Found 2024-05-17 Reunited 2024-05-17. Welcome home!
Thank you to the 17th district for holding on to 'River' or 'Oliver' and for sharing the information about his microchip and tag to Garrido Stray who in turn messaged Microchip Hunters for help finding the family. Microchip Hunters researched the unregistered chip first, which was sold to a 'breeder sale' in Missouri. The microchip company had no computer records from that time to look anything up on this breeder. The dog was wearing a tag with the dog's name and last name. Microchip Hunters spent some time using background searches to find family members with this last name that lived in this area, but nothing was very close. Regardless, some calls and messages were sent, and I received a reply from the son. He said his mom gave River away in December as she was planning to go back to the Philippines. The son was able to provide me a number for the family they rehomed him to, and "Oliver's" new family was overjoyed to get the call. He let Oliver out in their fenced yard as usual in the morning, but someone had left the gate open overnight and he got out. Oliver's family didn't have transportation, so the 17th district graciously offered to give Oliver a ride home! He is now home safe; microchip will be registered and a new tag for his collar is ordered! Welcome home, Oliver! Hope you enjoyed your day! #LostDogsIllinois #PetFBI ID# 639047 #MicrochipHunters
