The white Husky found in #Chicago #IL is home safe and sound! Special thanks to Caroline and Owen for keeping Bailey safe these past few days, and to submitting the microchip number to microchiphelp.com so we can help connect with the owner after the vet wasn't successful!

I waited to hear back from a text I sent to the number on file when the voicemail was full. After the day went by, I began trying some numbers for names connected to previous addresses for this owner. It worked, and the sister told me Joana was missing her dog! She told me she only speaks Spanish, so called her first to confirm. When she called me back, she said Joana was crying, she was so happy her dog was found. Bailey was missing a few days now. Joana's sister called Owen to set up a pickup this afternoon. Owen was very happy to get this news, he was going to have to take her to animal control tomorrow! He drove Bailey home, and said he is sure she ended up in the right home.

An ID tag was ordered with both Joana and her sister's phone number, and the numbers for the microchip will be added too!

Kiko was found and taken to Chicago Animal Care and Control. The microchip was found, and the registration had two numbers, but both were no longer current.

CACC filled out the form for microchip help, and Microchip Hunters went to work!

I was able to find a new address and phone number for Kiko's family, and spoke to the daughter, as the mom only spoke Spanish. She gave her daugher the phone as soon as I mentioned Kiko's name.

The daughter confimed that they all got new phone numbers, and I gave the microchip company their new information.

They emailed CACC, and picked Kiko up.. The mom texted me "Mucho Feliz" They are very happy.  Welcome home Kiko!
