One less dog sitting in a shelter...

Thank you Lehigh Valley Humane Society in Pennsylvania for sending a request for help to reunite Ace to his family when the owner's phone number was no longer active!

Microchip Hunter Ann was able to reach the owner's sister through Facebook, who let her brother know where Ace was. He was missing him. The Humane Society emailed us today "Thank you he was returned home to his family Thank you for your help!"

The Adams County SPCA sent in a microchip to Microchip Hunters for a ShihTzu found with a disconnected phone number. This is in Pennsylvania, and the owner on file showed an address for Delaware. The dog showed as a 15 year old ShihTzu!

I found the owner on facebook, and sent a message, "Hi yes she is mine. I reached out to the spca but they were gone for the day. She's been missing for about 8 years!"

Teresa told me that she still lived at the same address in Delaware, but her phone number has changed. She gave me her new number and I emailed SPCA back and provided it as well, in case they didn't get her message right away!

The next morning I received the email back that they were in contact with Teresa, and that they would be coming for her!!!

Tammy from the SPCA kept us updated: "She has been picked up!!! They have a long drive back to Delaware. Her son picked Remy up because she was working today ... her son is partially to blame for her getting away. He was such a pleasant guy and said that maybe he will be out of the doghouse with his Mom now!"

"Thank you soo much for the quick response!! Soo often we run into dead ends with microchips and your service is greatly appreciated!!!"

"Hi Jeanette!!! Just got a message from little Remy's Mom and two pics. Remy is doing well. We gave her a bath and she's going to the vet next week for a wellness check. Thanks so much for finding Me. Her fur brother Kobe loves her...We are overwhelmed with excitement. I've been crying all night...tears of joy...lol. she's always been a sweet girl. She remembers most things...didn't forget how to beg for treats"

We are also so happy for Remy and her family! Nice job Adams County SPCA, thank you for going the extra mile to get Remy back to her family!!!
