Rex was found around the corner from his home, and he was microchipped. The ACO tried to reach his family, but the phone number tried was one number off. The 5 was actually an 8. He went to Chicago Animal Care and Control, who then sent this off to microchiphelp.com for help getting Rex home.
After finding the phone number had an incorrect digit, Microchip Hunters quickly connected with his family. This was Monday and Rex's owner works during animal control hours every day except Sunday, She also mentioned that she would have to wait until her next paycheck to pick him up. Lost Dogs Illinois offered to pay the fee, and she took a couple hours off work today to pick up her dog. Rex went home today. He is loved. Found 5/22/2022 Reunited 5/24/2022 Welcome home Rex.
