Diamond was brought to Chicago Animal Care and Control with a microchip that led to a disconnected phone number. They sent it to microchip hunters, who were actually messaged the night before from a police department asking for help with this microchip.
The original owner was finally able to be reached, but said this dog was given to Jessica, and he shared her phone number. Jessica said she has 3 dogs missing. It turned out one of her other missing dogs was also at Chicago Animal Control. When called for owner information to confirm with the microchip company, they also said that a transfer was started for Jessica in 2017, but never was completed. Jessica was scrambling to come up with the reclaim fees to get two dogs home, so Lost Dogs Illinois helped her, and paid the fees for her. If you can help us pay for owners like Jessica to get their dogs back home to them, we would really appreciate it! Every little bit helps us bring families together! Jessica's third dog Spike is still lost and is posted on Lost Dogs Illinois, ID number 3283143, so keep a lookout! He is also microchipped and registered. https://www.facebook.com/…/a.31250702075…/3162259710498158/… "thank you very much for the assistance I really appreciate it" Lost Dogs Illinois Microchip Help Microchip Hunters

Thank you to Real Estate to the Rescue of Homeless Animals Chicago for partnering with Microchip Help and Lost Dogs Illinois to help those in need pay reclaim fees to get their pets home! Today, Chicago Animal Care and Control sent Microchip Help a stray dog that came in yesterday. They weren't able to reach them by phone. I received a reply to my text asking if the owner was missing their dog Holly, and when he said yes, I called right away. He spoke to me and asked about the reclaim fees a couple of times, but asked if anyone spoke Spanish. I told him I would see if I could have one of our Spanish speaking Lost Dogs Illinois volunteers call him, but in the meantime texted him the information on reclaiming Holly in Spanish. I gave Cristal all the information, and she called and spoke to the owner. He explained that he has two dogs there, and just got laid off. Both Cristal and I could tell money was going to be an issue, but he was sincere in hoping to pick them up. She let him know that we could help with the reclaim fees. CACC spoke to the wife, and made arrangements with them about pickup - both beauties, Holly and Ronda, are already back home! They were ready to pick them up, just needed the help. Thank you Real Estate to the Rescue... Lost Dogs Illinois Microchip Help Microchip Hunters Thank you #WillCountyAnimalControl for submitting the dead-end microchip to microchip help! This gorgeous Black Labrador Retriever came into Will County as a stray on March 10th. Petlink had no owner information or implant facility, so I emailed to see if they can research further. Petlink was able to find the animal shelter in Missouri that microchipped Zeda. Dogwood Animal Shelter in Missouri was able to provide me the owner's name and address, but had no phone number. Zeda was microchipped at a low-cost clinic there, and the owner Cassandra also lived in Missouri. I only found one number that matched the owner's name, and it didn't belong to her. I began looking up this unique last name in Illinois, and found a match to a male. I called, and was told Cassandra was his daughter and that she lives in Missouri. He told me he would ask her to call me. Cassandra called me soon after. She was very upset to hear that Zeda was found as a stray, and all the way here, about 7 hours away. She had Zeda as a puppy for over a year, but had to rehome her due to living arrangements. She told me her dad could pick Zeda up for her and hold on to her until she could get her. Her living arrangements now allow for Zeda, and she said, "She is my baby, I am so glad I can have her back. I won't let anyone else have her. She is such a good dog." I gave both Will County and Cassandra each other's information, and both messaged me today that Cassandra's dad picked Zeda up. Cassandra is very excited to get her baby back home. Thank you dad for picking her up! Welcome back home Zeda! Lost Dogs Illinois Microchip Hunters Microchip Help Carrie went missing after being let out to her yard Thursday evening. Her family looked all over and there were no signs of her all weekend. They assumed someone took their dog.
Little did they know, Carrie was picked up and taken to Chicago Animal Care and Control on Friday, 3/6. She was wearing a Banfield and 2017 rabies tag. Banfield provided CACC with the owner information but the number was disconnected, so they sent it to Microchip Hunters this morning, as nobody had come in for her. I called Cook County this morning, and when they gave me the owner information, I noticed one of the digits in the phone number was different. I called, and was so happy to hear the owners name on the outgoing message matched. I left a voicemail and sent a text. When I spoke to the owner, she told me she was just telling a friend that someone took her dog! I gave her the address for CACC and senior girl Carrie went home this afternoon! Missing 3/5/2020; Reunited 3/9/2020 Welcome home Carrie! You are loved! Lost Dogs Illinois Microchip Hunters Microchip Help This little 13 year old Maltese was found and taken to Chicago Animal Care and Control. His Avid microchip information from 2007 led back to a disconnected phone number, so CACC sent it to Microchip Hunters, microchip help, to get this cutie home!
After researching the name and number on the chip, we tried a number for a relative we found. A gentleman answered, and let us know this owner had passed away last year, and that the brother and mother were now caring for Tiger. He passed along all the information, and we were able to contact the brother who loves Tiger dearly. Richard told me, I was looking all night for him, my mom is elderly and he got out. They were very worried and relieved to hear he was found. Richard said, "I will get dressed and am leaving now to pick him up." He had no idea where Chicago Animal Control was. Sweet 13 year old Tiger is now home, and we passed along all the microchip information to Richard so he can update the information. He told us that Tiger is doing well this morning, and that he will update the information right away. Found 3/3/2020, Reunited 3/4/2020 Welcome home Tiger. You are loved!!! Lost Dogs Illinois Microchip Hunters Microchip Help Dynasty, the beautiful 7 year old girl, is home safe and sound. Chicago Animal Care and Control sent Microchip Hunters this case after calling the number on file from 2013, and leaving a message. The chip wasn't registered but the implant facility was CACC and they did have the owner information. It was unclear whether this was a current phone number for the owner.
We tried leaving a voicemail at this number also, as well as trying relatives, with no luck. Thankfully, we were able to find an email and facebook page that belonged to the owner, and we received a reply that he will be going to pick Dynasty up! We also gave the microchip information to the owner so he can get Dynasty's microchip updated! Dynasty didn't need a new home, she just needed to go home! Welcome home sweet girl! Lost Dogs Illinois Microchip Hunters Microchip Help These dogs all went home with the help and research of Microchip Hunters Illinois! Thank you Chicago Animal Care and Control for sending these to us! |
