Carrie went missing after being let out to her yard Thursday evening. Her family looked all over and there were no signs of her all weekend. They assumed someone took their dog.
Little did they know, Carrie was picked up and taken to Chicago Animal Care and Control on Friday, 3/6. She was wearing a Banfield and 2017 rabies tag. Banfield provided CACC with the owner information but the number was disconnected, so they sent it to Microchip Hunters this morning, as nobody had come in for her. I called Cook County this morning, and when they gave me the owner information, I noticed one of the digits in the phone number was different. I called, and was so happy to hear the owners name on the outgoing message matched. I left a voicemail and sent a text. When I spoke to the owner, she told me she was just telling a friend that someone took her dog! I gave her the address for CACC and senior girl Carrie went home this afternoon!
