17 year old yumi goes home

Home at Last! The found Japanese Chin/Papillon from #CarolStream #HanoverPark, IL is home safe and sound! Her name is Yumi and she is 17 years old! Found 2024-03-12 Reunited 2024-03-12. Welcome home, Yumi!

Thank you Chris from the Carol Stream PD for posting this 17 year old girl to Lost Dogs Illinois, in hopes of getting her home prior to going to animal control! "A Lost Dogs Illinois, Microchip Hunter volunteer was able to investigate many twists and turns to find current owner info from a 17 year old (never updated) microchip! So much time was spent researching many different contacts & several dead end numbers for a dog that had been rehomed 6 years ago without updating microchip info. Please, please, please make sure that you update contact information with your pet's microchip company. If your pet gets lost with old or non-existent contact info, you may never get your pet back."

Yumi's family of 11 years was also happy to see she is doing well! The current family was out looking when they received this call! Thank you to the finder who turned her in too! She is one lucky dog, loved by many!
