Stormy was just a puppy given to a boy for Christmas last year. His family had to move back from Chicago to Minnesota, and left Stormy with a family member, and when he went missing, they weren't told. Thankfully he was microchipped, and he wound up at Chicago Animal Control, where microchip hunters came in.
Microchip Hunters finally heard back from the unaware owner, and she was unable to travel due to medical circumstances. The family member that was taking care of Stormy when he went missing, didn't feel he could hold on to him. The family said they wanted their baby home, and asked if there was anything we could do to help. Microchip hunters was able to find a 'foster' for him in the meantime, while figuring things out with the family. Stormy's stray hold was ending. Microchip Hunters reached out to the group that helped get our boy Cooper home to Colorado, and wow, they set up a transport within a few hours to get Stormy home. What an amazing group of people - the foster who provided amazing care for nearly a month also sent food, extra harnesses, a special chew proof cable, leash for tethering, treats for Stormy, and even a Halloween goody bag for the child waiting for his dog, provided the first leg of transport, to Rockford. From there, the #Howlin4Hope team took over - Rita, Cathy, Kerrie, and Marigrace spent hours of their day driving Stormy, and we couldn't be more grateful. You are angels. Special thanks to c-oordinator's Mary, Cheryl and Lisa for making this happen! A boy and his dog, back home together. Lost Dogs Illinois Microchip Hunters Microchip Help
