Diamond's microchip gets her AND Rusty home!

Chicago Animal Care and Control submitted Diamond's microchip information to microchip help after trying the owner's disconnected phone number.

After calling, texting and emailing from information I could find on this owner, I received a call from someone else asking about how to pick her dog Diamond up. She said that her friend received an email, and that Diamond belonged to her now. She also told me she had a second dog, Rusty, that did not have a microchip, and asked if he was there also. And he was!!! The owner was just getting back into town, and just heard they were lost from a neighbor.

Both Diamond and Rusty were picked up and are home, and Diamond's micorchip will be updated to her new family.

Thank goodness for microchips, this one got 2 dogs home to their family that loves them.
