The senior gal wound up at Chicago Animal Control, and her unregistered microchip was implanted through a vet school. Thankfully, they were able to provide microchip hunters the owner information, but, of course, it was over 10 years old, and the numbers did not work.
I found some information that matched the owners name, but the current address was in Fargo, ND, so I was concerned. Still, the numbers I found didn't lead to Christal. I began sending some emails to what I could find for her, and facebook messages to her family members, and received that call from Christal. She got my email. "I am currently in Fargo, and my grandmother has Lydia. She didn't want to tell me she was lost, because she knew I would be so upset." Christal was relieved to get this email, and told me it made her night; we were so happy to get this good news to her. Arrangements were made, and Lydia, the 13 year old Pitbull/MinPin, went home to grandma yesterday! Christal will be getting Lydia's microchip registered too!!!
