Mia was at Will County Animal Control, and the owner from the microchip was unable to be reached.
Microchip Hunters was sent the chip and found a working phone number. Her family had rehomed her a couple of months prior, and they were so surprised. The new owner was not answering their calls. They are not home as much as they feel Mia needs, but her and her children love her, and we were told they missed her so much. Mia's family picked her up, with the help of Lost Dogs Illinois. They weren't able to pay the reclaim fee. In addition, Mia's family gave her food, leash, bowls, etc. to the new family. We reached out to Our House of Hope, Inc., in Libertyville, as this family lives in Lake County. Our House of Hope immediately said they could help with supplies, and they were able to pick them up right away! Sometimes things work out differently than we think. Mia has a family that loves her. We are happy she is back home with them. Welcome home Mia Lost Dogs Illinois Microchip Hunters www.microchiphelp.com
