Helping dogs get back home

Negra had a microchip, and when Chicago Animal Care and Control was unable to connect with the owner, they reached out to Microchip Help. Her voicemail was full, but they knew she had a family that was probably frantically looking for her, and they were.

I was able to reach the owner by phone, but she didn't speak any English, so I spoke to a young child. The child told me they were looking for Negra, and I let her know I would text her the information on how to get her home (using google translate), I could tell there was more that the owner was trying to tell me, so I reached out to one of our LDI volunteers that speaks Spanish, and Cristal was able to call and find out a cat was also missing, but had no microchip, and that the owner wasn't going to be able to pay Negra's reclaim fee right away.

Lost Dogs Illinois paid Negra's reclaim fee,and thankfully the cat turned back up at home the next day!

Negra's family was so happy to get her home, and Negra was happy too! Please help us make these reunions possible for those that need us!
