Princess was taken to Chicago Animal Care and Control, and her microchip information was sent to Microchip Hunters.
After getting owner information, I called the phone number for Guadalupe but it was a landline and there was no answer, so an email was sent. In the meantime, I found a phone number for Guadalupe's sister Diana, and she called back right away. She told me her father was watching Princess, and that Guadalupe was in Mexico for a couple more weeks. I spoke with the father, and he said he didn't tell his daughters that Princess got out of the yard, because he knew how upset they would be. He was very happy to get this call that she was found, but needed some help with the fees, so Lost Dogs Illinois was able to help pay the reclaim fee. I let the family know what was needed for CACC to release Princess to the father. I received an email today from Guadalupe, all the way from Mexico, "Thank you for your help. Princess is now home." Welcome home Princess; you are loved! ~Microchip Hunters
