Thank you Kendall County Animal Control and Adoption Center for sending the microchip information to Microchip Hunters for help reaching Hetty's family.
After pulling up the owner information from the microchip company, I (Microchip Hunters) tried the numbers on file, but both were not current. I saw that both owners were seniors. I did some searching, and found some numbers for relatives It turns I reached the grandson! I sent a text and he replied back, "I just spoke to my gramma, she said the dog has been gone for 2 days." He gave me her current phone number, and said that she is expecting my call. I called and spoke to the grandma, and was given to the husband, since he is the one that drives. He was surprised to hear she was 13 miles away. He was going to try to get to KCAC by close, but didn't make it, so they went Monday to pick up "Baby" whose name is now Hetty. She has been with them for over 12 years. Remember, not everyone is on social media! Seniors need extra help getting their dogs home! We will help update the chip if it isn't.
