"I really miss my dog"

Shalana told me she really misses her dog Cocoa. He was brought in as a stray to Chicago Animal Care and Control with an unreadable rabies tag on his collar, and a microchip with a phone number that didn't belong to his family any more. CACC sent it to microchip hunters for help!

I tried several phone numbers, but what worked, was emailing numerous addresses I could find! Shalana called me after receiving an email, and told me her dog was missing! She checked with police departments in the area, and didn't have any luck. She was searching for Cocoa's microchip information too! She emailed Chicago Animal Control to get an appointment to pick Cocoa up, and told me she really needs him home, and said she really misses him.

Shalana sent me a text the next day, after learning of the reclaim fee. She asked if I knew how long they would hold Cocoa for her at animal control...she needed a few extra days to pay the reclaim fee. Lost Dogs Illinois helped her out by paying the fee so Cocoa could get home to her. We didn't want either of them to wait any longer. He is so happy to be home, and Shalana is very very grateful. She sent me many photos of her and this sweet boy.

Cocoa's owner will be making sure to update her contact information with Petkey.
