This cutie pie came in as a stray to Chicago Animal Care and Control. Her name from her registered chip was Raven. The phone number for the owner had another name on the voicemail, but a message was left in case. CACC couldn't reach the owner on file from the chip so sent it to us at microchip help. Thank you!
After a couple of days of no luck reaching the owner, I called the implant facility to see if they had any other contact information. They couldn't find the information from the microchip number, but when I gave them the owner's name, they were able to find Raven, and said her adopter returned her to them after 5 years. They said she was adopted to another family a few years ago. The humane society was reading the notes out loud, and said, "OH, the owner filed a missing report with us!" She gave me the new adopter's number, and I called her and received a call back right away! Raven's name when she adopted her was changed to Hazel. Hazel's owner was in Chicago visiting her mom when she went missing. She was so glad she was found, and her mom was able to pick Hazel up from CACC, until she can get back in town to pick her up. It was so smart of Hazel's owner to call the Humane Society she adopted her from! We gave her the microchip information also, to be sure to get that transfer of ownership done! "My mom has her! I'm whole again knowing she's back with my family" Found 10/10/2020 Reunited 10/16/2020 Welcome home Hazel!!! You are adorable!!! Lost Dogs Illinois Microchip Hunters Microchip Help
