Princess was taken to Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC) by a Good Samaritan. Her microchip was never registered, but PAWS Chicago was able to help by providing owner information from their chip implanted in 2013.
The phone number Paws had on file was disconnected, so background searches were pulled up by Microchip Hunters (MH), and MH Laura began making calls to numbers found for this family. She was able to get a working number for the daughter who told her that her mom is in Mexico and that they are taking care of Princess. The daughter let her mom know to email CACC authorizing that she picks her up, and she went the next day to get Princess. She didn't have the money/funds for the reclaim, so Lost Dogs Illinois paid the fee.
Welcome home Princess, you are loved!
