Nearly 2 years later, Tuffy's microchip gets him home...
Tuffy was taken to Chicago Animal Control on Oct 20th, 2022 by a good samaritan. Chicago Animal Control was unable to leave a voicemail on the phone number that the microchip company had on file., so they asked Microchip Hunters to help. I (Microchip Hunters) wasn't getting a reply to text, and also couldn't leave a voicemail, so started a search on-line for relatives. I sent several texts to family, and shortly after received a phone call from Tuffy's owner. The family let her know to call! She said nearly 2 years ago, she went to her mom's to take care of her. Tuffy got out of her front door, and the family looked for him for hours. It was pouring rain and they had no luck. They never heard from anyone that he was found. Tuffy's owner worked until 4 today, but said she will be going right after work to pick him up. She was really excited to get him home! Tuffy is home, he is following the daughter all around and slowly coming around. He is still a little out of sorts, much heavier and breathing a little heavy so will be going to a vet to be checked. His family is thrilled to have him home! Welcome home Tuffy! *Video in Comments, courtesy of Chicago Animal Care and Control,* Lost Dogs Illinois Microchip Hunters www.microchiphelp.com
