Please Close the Gate...

Dandy was brought into Chicago Animal Care and Control on 11/14/19. He was micro-chipped but the phone number listed did not match or was changed.

Microchip Hunters were given the case. The family business was located, and a volunteer was able to match Dandy's found location within a block of a business associated with Dandy's family.

We were able to locate Dandy's family immediately through the business, and learned that Dandy got out on 11/14/19. His daddy immediately rushed to CACC to look for him and was told that he was not there.

Dandy has been the family dog since he was a puppy. His family brings him to work daily with them. Sadly some of the employees are not vigilant with making sure that the gate is shut all the way when they come and go. They were overjoyed and rushed to get him.

Dandy's microchip is now updated, dog tags ordered and a sign will be placed on the gate to remind workers to be sure to close the gate.
