We are happy that Roxy was able to go home today. Her owner is out of town, and the father was caring for Roxy. He told me she opens the gate with her head, and he needs to work on that so she doesn't get out again. His daughter loves Roxy very much and kept checking with both her mother and father about getting to Chicago Animal Care and Control so she can go home.
Roxy got to Chicago Animal Care and Control on 6/6/2019 and when they didn't hear back from the owner information they had on file (the father's information from the adoption), they contacted us at Microchip Hunters. I contacted Home Again and found out the daughter is the name on the microchip, along with her phone number. She called me back right away, and said her mom would be picking Roxy up the next day. After a few days, I checked back and was told that the mother had no ride to CACC. Our microchip hunter Katie C. called the family too and offered her a ride to pick Roxy up!!! Thank you Katie!!! The mother, however, thought she had found one. Roxy was still there yesterday... I heard back from the father today when he was on his way to CACC, and he was able to to pick Roxy up. It was hard for him to get there by 6:15 after work. He said his daughter kept calling him to please pick her up. We are so glad it worked out. Found 6/6/2019; Reunited 6/11/2019. Welcome home beautiful girl...we are happy your microchip information is up to date!!! They work!!! ~Jeanette Lost Dogs Illinois Microchip Hunters
