"She means the world to us"

​Home Again gave Chicago Animal Care and Control the owner information for an adorable 10 year old Yorkie, but both numbers were a dead end. I did my research, and was able to find a working number for her owner, Ashunda!

I left a message for her, and she called me right back! She began crying and said "I am going to go there right now!" Ashunda told me she would let me know when she was home, and send me a reunion picture! Diva was missing exactly one week.

Surprised that I didn't hear back from her by late evening, I checked CACC's page. Diva was still there. I sent a text to Ashunda, and she told me she did make it to CACC, but that poor Diva was hit by a car and had a broken pelvis. Everything else seemed OK. She needed to stay overnight, but she would be able to pick her up the next evening. She was so sad to leave her; it broke her heart.
Diva went home on Saturday, and I heard from Ashunda, this morning. "Good morning, I have had my hands full. But I wouldn't trade this for ANYTHING! I am so happy to have her home, she means the world to us. Thanks again for locating our Diva. She is so strong she keeps on doing things as normal. I have to keep sitting her down."

Diva's recovery will be at least 8 weeks - please keep her in your thoughts.
