Sue was volunteering as usual at the Humane Society of Northwest Indiana when she heard of a dog found in Gary, Indiana with a microchip to an owner in Chicago. The phone number no longer belonged to the registered owner, and she right away thought of Lost Dogs Illinois Microchip Hunters as we helped her reunite a found dog once before!
Sue called asking for help, and then texted the microchip information to me. I pulled up the owner information, and did some research. After sending an email and leaving a couple of voicemails and texts, I decided to try a phone number for a relative at the owner's address, and received a call back immediately! He gave me the owner's current phone number and she answered my text back right away that she was looking for her dog Sasha. I gave her the information for the Humane Society. I called the Humane Society, and let them know Sasha's owner would be calling. They told me they had tried everything, including her Facebook page, to try and reach the owner! I love that! They were so happy to get this news. Sasha's owner picked her up yesterday morning, and she is home! Thank you Sue for thinking of us. We are so happy you helped get this girl home to her family that loves her. Sue is a volunteer who really cares...she is a team player, and not only reaches out for help, but has also helped transport a dog from a shelter here in Chicago to an owner without transportation. She is a gem. Lost Dogs Illinois Microchip Help www.microchiphelp.com
