Thank you to Good Samaritan Margie!

Margie found this little guy in #Chicago #IL and posted him as found May 16th to some neighborhood facebook pages. She took him to a vet to get scanned for a microchip too, but it wasn't showing up as registered anywhere.

We are so thankful that many fans commented on that neighborhood post letting Margie know to send to Microchip Help, in case an owner could be found. Today, Margie sent in the chip information by our jotform. Microchip Hunters also couldn't find this microchip registered anywhere, but through experience recognized that a number could be off and decided to check into it. I replaced a 7 to a 2. Sure enough, a registration showed up for a dog matching this description in Chicago.

I called the owner on file and she said, OMG, yes we rehomed Smokey but the new family is looking for her. She said they didn't know how to update the microchip information, and gave me the contact information to share to the finder.

Smokey went home after work today! The family was very happy, and Margie was too!!! She said it was her pleasure taking care of him!!!
