Buddah was found, registered and posted to Lost Dogs Illinois. He was microchipped, however, taken to Chicago Animal Care and Control. Thank you Laura for keeping him safe. The microchip was not registered but it showed that it was implanted through Alive Rescue.
Alive Rescue was contacted. They provided CACC with owner information. When they didn't hear back from the number they left a message on after a few days, they submitted it to us at microchip help. Thank you CACC! I spent some time calling around to possible phone numbers for Esmeralda. Nothing worked, and many wrong numbers. After trying family members numbers I could find, I finally reached a sister, Maria, that doesn't live in the state, but she gave me Esmeralda's current, correct phone number, along with their brother's number. Maria told me that Buddah got out on Friday, June 19th and they had been looking for him ever since. . Esmeralda wanted to know when she could pick Buddah up, and I gave her the information to contact CACC. It was after hours, but they got back to her first thing, and set up a time right away for her to get there to pick him up. The family is very happy to have Buddah back. He has been with them a few years, and he is loved dearly. The photo is of Buddah just getting back in the car. The photo says it all.....Buddah is loved. He is family. Found 6/19/2020; To CACC 6/20/2020; Reunited 6/25/2020 Welcome home Buddah! (The family will be registering the microchip) Lost Dogs Illinois Microchip Help
