Thank you Leslie County Animal Shelter for sending Microchip Hunters Princess's microchip information! Princess came into them as a stray on 6/7/2023 and they learned about Microchip Hunters a couple of weeks later!
Princess's microchip was never registered but Roanoke Valley SPCA was listed as the implant facility and they were able to provide information for the adopter from 2/2019. Thank you! After pulling up background information for the owner and family, our Microchip Hunter Liz went to work trying to get a hold of someone. After numerous calls, texts, emails and facebook messages to family and friends, there were no replies. Two days went by, and a brother in law called Liz! He said this is the family dog, and though the brother in law lives in Kentucky where she was found, they live in New York. They had no idea she was missing, and he asked how long she was at the shelter. She had been there three weeks at this point. He said he would pick her up, and made arrangements as it would be a couple more weeks for them to be able to get from New York to Kentucky! Princess is home, and instructions for registering the microchip were provided! A back home photo is below, and we are so grateful to all that helped Princess get back to her family!!! Found 6/7/2023 Reunited 7/18/2023 Welcome back home to family Princess, you are loved!!! Princess is 5 1/2 years old and didn't need a new home...
