Precious was found by a Good Samaritan who had her scanned for a microchip! After posting the dog as found to a neighborhood page in Chicago, the Good Samaritan was advised by Susan D to reach out to Microchip Hunters (www.microchiphelp.com) because the number on the microchip was no longer current. The police department that scanned her told the Good Samaritan that 'the phone number was out of service and the address might be old.'
Well, the information was outdated, and it took a lot of digging to find a working number for someone that could help me get a hold of Stacy, but it worked! The person that I reached said, "Stacy must be going crazy looking for that dog" and she asked me to hold on. She called Stacy and patched her in! She was going crazy, and Precious wasn't found close to home! Stacy had photos of her and her dog on her phone and called the finder to arrange a pickup! She went home, and Stacy told me she has had Precious since she was 3 months old; she is now 7. She didn't know where or how to update the microchip so was provided the chip number, and the information for both chip companies to call and update her information! Thank you to Jesus and his family for taking in Precious, and to Susan D for always referring to Microchip Hunters. Teamwork got her home. Found 1/12/2023 Reunited 1/13/2023 Welcome home Precious!
