Early in 2018 -- over a year and a half ago -- Tiny managed to get outside and was lost on the streets of Chicago. She’d been with her family for her entire life and now she was gone. The family searched but with no luck and they assumed the worst.
Microchip Hunters knew nothing of Tiny's story as we started to work on her case. All we knew is that an approximately 10 year old cat had just came into CACC and her microchip was unregistered. Thankfully we got a name and phone number from those that had implanted the chip and with that information we had Tiny’s name and a lead on the owner and potential family members. We sent out texts and Facebook messages to everyone! When one of those family members suddenly received our Facebook message mentioning Tiny, well understandably they were suspicious. Then they received the same message on their phone, which really got their curiosity up, but their response back to me was still full of skepticism. Once I explained to them about Microchip Hunters, that Tiny was at CACC and that their contact phone number was out of service -- then he said “She’s been missing over a year now”. I can’t imagine how things went after that for the family. I’m certain there were many surprising and happy messages and calls back and forth between mom, brother and sister as they first shared the good news and then worked out the details on how to pickup Tiny. Within days brother and sister were in line at CACC waiting to reclaim their Tiny! Welcome Home, Tiny!! ***Photo picking Tiny up at CACC*** Microchip Hunters Microchip Help
