"We are blessed to have him back"

Thanks #MerrillvillePoliceDepartment for reaching out to microchip help this morning regarding a gray pitbull that was found.!!! The microchip number provided wasn't found with any microchip company. They were told it wasn't registered.

I asked that the dog be rescanned to see if the 8 could be a 0, because that was coming up as a registered dog in Hammond, Indiana. Sure enough, the 0 was the correct chip number. The phone numbers, however, weren't going through, and the address was Hammond. After doing a little research, I could see a new address in Merrillville. I gave the officer the new address, as it was close to where she told me the dog was found, and Titan was taken home.

We are so glad we were able to get Titan home, Merrillville Police don't have a holding facility and he would have had to go to animal control in Gary. Microchips get dogs home!!!
I spoke to the owner this evening, and provided all the microchip information to get this updated. They are very happy to have Titan home.
