What are the odds?
Two dogs were picked up together today in #BlueIsland IL and taken to the police station. They were scanned for microchips but only one had a chip. Cindy S. messaged Microchip Hunters for help. I (Microchip Hunters) pulled up the owner information and tried the number, but it was disconnected, and I was unable to find any other current number for this owner. I did find a couple other family members at the address, searched for phone numbers, and the first message I sent was a reply of "OMG that's my dog!" His name is Coco. He was missing about a week now. I asked if she had a second dog and she said, no, just one. He is a Pomeranian. I sent Coco's family a photo of the second dog and was told that she didn't recognize him. She texted her grandmother the photo of this second found dog, as it was hard to tell what he looked like. His hair is long and was very messy from all the rain. Her grandmother said that it is her dog Peluche, who was missing for a couple of weeks now! Both families live just around the corner from each other and somehow, they found each other, though they didn't go missing together! This is such a great ending for Coco, Peluche and their families! As Coco's owner said, "Dogs are really amazing they found each other. Thank you so much again. My grandma is very happy now, she thought she would never see her dog again." What are the odds??? These dogs went missing a week apart, found each other, ended up at the police station, and both got home because the granddaughter's dog was microchipped!!! Found and reunited 3/8/2024 So happy everything fell into place! Welcome home Coco and Peluche!! Thanks Coco for finding Peluche, and to all that helped them get home! We love Police Departments that scan for chips and work with the community to get animals home! We will share back home photos when we receive them. The microchip will also be updated!
