Would Coco be home if he hadn't had this registered microchip?

Coco's microchip brings him home after 15 months!

This morning, Chicago Animal Care and Controlasked #MicrochipHunters for help contacting an owner of a white Shih Tzu that Avid had flagged as reported missing over a year ago, on January 31, 2018. Both phone numbers had full mailboxes so they were unable to leave a message.

I sent texts to the numbers, and also messaged a couple email addresses I found. I received a text back not to soon after, and it made my day! Catalina still had a current phone number for Coco's microchip and the first thing she asked was, "where is he right now?" She said they have been looking for him, but never found him! I was so happy to be able to give her this news, and she asked if she could pick him up today! They had Coco for 9 years, and missed him terribly!

Coco is home nearly 15 months later! Here is his photo from CACC, and his after photo now at home. What a happy day for Catalina, Coco and the family! Missing 1/31/2018; Reunited 4/8/2019.
