A case came through to Microchip Hunters today, from a Good Samaritan in Florida. It was an unregistered microchip with a microchip to an unknown manufacturer.
I had my doubts but tried some puppy stores and Petland in a nearby town, as I have seen these types of chips at these stores before here in Illinois. I was shocked to get a reply from Petland in Sarasota, "Yes, this is our chip." She provided me owner information that went to the daughter of this Great Pyrenees. The daughter wasn't aware Horton had gotten out, but contacted the finder to share her father's information, and Horton went home! Melissa, the finder, said he was a sweetheart, and that the owner lives on the next street over. "Thank you soooooo much, you are a saving grace." We think Melissa was the saving grace...
